2 3 1 set Drive from X Fill from the crease Clear out the wing

This is a basic way to teach the offense how to clear space for the dodger while keeping the field balanced.  This is a great way to teach young players who are starting out.

  • Start the dodge at X

  • The wing player needs to clear out for the dodger while holding his stick ready to receive a pass.  This will keep his defender honest and his defender slides he will be open for a pass in front of the goal.

  • The player in the crease should clear out to X where the dodger came from.  His defender is likely the first slide, if his defender goes he needs to have his stick up as he will receive a pass in front of the goal.  Him fading away will make the slide longer and create space for him to receive the ball.   If he does not receive the pass he should continue to X to be an outlet and/or get the line in case of a shot.
